PAT TESTING
The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 (EAW) places certain requirements on employers, designed to control risks that can arise from the use of electricity. In practice, this means that all electrical appliances at work need some sort of monitoring, inspection and testing. The regulations state:
‘As may be necessary to prevent danger, all systems shall be maintained so as to prevent, so far as is reasonably practicable, such danger.’ (Regulation 4(2))
Therefore, some system of checking appliances for defects is necessary, followed by a system for rectifying any faults.
Bryants can advise, monitor and carry out all your PAT Testing requirements and will manage a system to suit your needs.
PERIODIC ELECTRICAL INSPECTION & TESTING
All non-domestic electrical installations should be subject to a regular programme of testing and inspection to comply with current legislation. You must ensure that all necessary precautions are being taken to reduce the risk of injury or death through electrical failure.
Bryants can manage your requirements to ensure your obligations are met by out sourcing with a company that has worked closely with us for a number of years. This close partnership works exceedingly well due to the guidelines and standards that we expect as a company and ensure our outsourced work clearly meets our expectations. All aspects of electrical work can be undertaken. |
